that’s a sad story. since those trees were right at the edge of the property, they should have incorporated them into the development. it would have made the development more appealing in the long run. Trees are the ultimate martyrs.
Daniel, thanks for your comment. I was also surprised the developer chose to destroy these trees; it probably has to do with the neighborhood’s recent rezoning for high-rise residential. I expect the new structure will be a solid block rising many stories above the street. Can’t say I’m too sympathetic, though.
